Bootle Group Masters and First Principals evening.

Bootle Group Masters and First Principals evening £2,500.00 donation to the hall
The Bootle group recently held a masters and first principals evening at Litherland Masonic Hall. The principle guest was Stephen Reid who was accompanied by Howard Jones, Ian Fisher and Geoffrey Lee.

The evening began with an informal gathering for the Masters and First principals. In a relaxed atmosphere of tea and biscuits, the masters and first principals of the Bootle group were introduced to the principle guest and associates. The evening then moved on to the lodge room were a more formal question and answer session took place. From the large number of Brethren who attend the evening several searching questions were put to Stephen and the rest of the panel. The areas covered included questions on charity, Royal arch chapter, membership retention, university lodges, youth in freemasonry and the future of free masonry.

After an informative question and answerer session the brethren moved on to the festive board. Here the Bootle group chairman Peter Levick made several generous donations including £2,500.00 for the hall committee towards the hall, £500.00 donation to the Tithebarn and £100.00 each towards the bowls and clay pigeon club. The evening continued amongst a healthy discussion of the issues raised and a harmonious time was enjoyed by all.
